BTW Achieves New Breakthroughs in Domestic and International Project Products

Recently, Baoding Baoling Company and Xinsheng Company, both subsidiaries of BTW, have delivered consecutive successes, achieving new breakthroughs in the delivery of high-end equipment for overseas markets and in the supporting sector for domestic flexible DC transformer projects.

Baoding Baoling Company successfully manufactured nine transformers for the DESCO Substation Project in Bangladesh, all of which passed comprehensive tests on the first attempt, with every performance indicator meeting the required standards. These products feature high capacity and complex structures. Supported by multi-scheme iterative design and simulation-based verification, the technical team overcame key technical bottlenecks—including high-voltage connections, voltage-regulating lead layout, and on-load tap-changer integration—through structural innovation and process optimization. The on-load voltage regulation range was increased by 50%, and all technical parameters fully complied with international standards, earning recognition from the overseas client.

Xinsheng Company successfully passed the type test conducted by the Shenyang Transformer Research Institute for the water cooler used in the 770MVA flexible DC transformer for the Guangzhou Tangxia Flexible DC Project. All performance indicators met the design requirements and industry standards, filling a technical gap for the company. Xinsheng Company is supplying a total of five sets of cooling equipment for this project. As the first 220kV multi-terminal flexible DC urban project in China, the project imposes exceptionally high demands on the performance and reliability of cooling equipment. The product features a proprietary dual-tube sealing structure that ensures complete oil-water isolation and eliminates the risk of cross-contamination. An integrated and modular design was adopted to precisely address the spatial constraints of urban substation installations. A customized oil-water filtration and purification process was developed to effectively enhance the heat dissipation performance and safety reliability of the cooling equipment under extreme operating conditions, ensuring long-term stable operation of the equipment.
