
On June 28, the national-level new product appraisal meeting for Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric (BTW) was held in Beijing. The meeting was organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation. The expert panel of the appraisal committee was led by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, bringing together more than 60 renowned industry experts and scholars from Huairou Laboratory, State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, China Three Gorges Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Group, Xi'an Jiaotong University, North China Electric Power University, and other institutions.
Xie Qingfeng, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Department of China Electrical Equipment Group, attended the meeting. Xu Tao, Party Secretary and Chairman of BTW, delivered a speech. Liu Dongsheng, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager of BTW, gave a vote of thanks during the group appraisal sessions. Relevant leadership team members and group-level third-tier advisors also participated in the appraisal meeting.
At the meeting, the expert panel listened to on-site presentations on the R&D achievements of the products, reviewed the appraisal materials, and after technical inquiries, comprehensive deliberation, and thorough discussion, unanimously concluded that 14 new products from BTW had passed the appraisal. Among them, 12 products reached the international leading level, and 2 products reached the international advanced level.
